JURIST OF THE YEAR 2023 BY ASAD LANGRIAL LLB PART 3 (5 YEARS)

This quotation has always been my mantra for all the accomplishments I have achieved in life so far. Jurist of the Year 2023 has been my most inestimable achievement. I still remember myself in 2021 as a first-year student watching Huzaifa Hamid, for the very first time; proclaim the title of Jurist of the Year 2021 and getting his name enrolled on the role of honour board. It was the exact moment I realized that this one title is what I am going to strive for the next 2 years.

It is never an overnight achievement; I burned the midnight oil for months to proclaim this title, and with every passing moment, I had one goal in mind: to win. Also, it is never luck; to all the bright minds reading this, it is hard work, and I have remained disciplined, confident, and consistent. It takes a lot of courage to stand out among the most brilliant students, impress the jury, and speak in front of a tremendous audience. How can I forget the moment when my team members Fatiq Asghar, Hassan Zaheer, and Ahmad Hikmatyaar and I were taking pictures with a victory sign off stage before the initiation of the competition because we dreamed, we believed, and we knew we would win? Having said that, not only did I win the title of Jurist of the Year 2023, but my team, the Tigers, also won the Best Team Award, and the score board was evident that we deserved this win.

I dedicate my win to, of course, the Almighty Allah, who bestowed upon me these incredible skills; it’s always him who deserves all the credit. Secondly, my family, which has been supremely supportive and concerning,

Additionally, I would not be reluctant to give credit to my institution, Quaid-e-Azam Law College, Lahore, which has played a prominent role in my achievements. It’s the institution and its backbone, the faculty, who has always believed in me and gave me incredible opportunities that made me the person I am today. Quaid-e-Azam Law College Lahore deserves all the credit for polishing the speaking skills of the students who yearn for it by providing tremendous opportunities, whether it’s the ongoing presentation competitions throughout the session or the annual competitions every year.

Quaid-e-Azam Law College Lahore has emerged as a trendsetter and undoubtedly has mastered the skill of providing legal education with a difference. Lastly, I would like to acknowledge the efforts of my competitors; this event could never have become as thrilling as it was without the efforts of the radiant minds I shared the stage with.
